Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs)

Employee Leasing Companies

Employee Leasing Registration oversight is no longer within the regulatory purview of the Division of Industrial Relations, Workers' Compensation Section.

Senate Bill 55, which passed during the 81st Regular Session of the Nevada Legislature (2021), transferred the regulatory oversight of "employee leasing companies" to the Nevada Labor Commissioner.

The term "employee leasing company" is being replaced with the term "professional employer organization," otherwise known as "PEO's" and the registration is being changed to a "license."  The change to a license instead of a registration is effective July 1, 2021, and the requirements for licensure and/or renewal will remain the same.

Please submit license information and any questions to:  PEL@labor.nv.gov
