Rating Physician Assignment Provider Exam and Evaluation
NRS 616C.092 and NRS 616C.490(15) require
the Division of Industrial Relations to make available to the public reports
containing the name of each rating physician or chiropractic physician who was
assigned to conduct and/or conducted an evaluation or examination of an injured
worker, the number of assignments made, and the number of exams conducted for
each type of assignment method: random assignment, mutual agreement, and court
order.
Data reported for Rating Physician
Examination and Evaluation Count is sourced from D-38 Forms submitted by Insurers
and Third-Party Administrators. This data may not be complete in the event D-38
Forms are not updated following the rating. Rating Physician Assignment Count
data is sourced from CARDS and reflects the assignments made by the WCS Medical
Unit when processing D-35 Forms.
Annual Occupational Disease Claims Reports

617.357(3) requires the Division of Industrial Relations to make available to
the public a report containing the OD-8 information submitted by insurers
during the preceding calendar year.
Annual Audit Reports
NRS
616B.003(1) requires the Division of Industrial Relations (DIR) to conduct an
audit of every workers’ compensation insurer at least once every 5 years. NRS
616B.003(4) requires the DIR to make a report by March 1 of each year of each
audit conduct pursuant to NRS 616B.003(1). These reports are provided to the
Legislature if it is in session or to the Interim Finance Committee.
Lung and Heart Disease Claims in Appeal Reports
NRS
617.455(10) and NRS 617.457(15) require the Division of Industrial Relations
to review claims filed by claimants for lung disease and heart disease pursuant
to these sections that have been in the appeals process for longer than 6
months to determine the circumstances causing the delay in processing the
claims.
Workers’ Compensation Loss Control Service Evaluation Reports
NRS 616A.400 charges the Division of Industrial Relations
(DIR) with evaluating the loss control services of those private insurance
carriers providing workers’ compensation coverage to Nevada employers. This report - published by the DIR Safety
Consultation and Training Section (SCATS) - was developed to help Nevada
businesses understand the types of loss control services available to them and
to assist those businesses to better evaluate those services.
Historical Annual Payments for Permanent Total Disability (PTD) Claims
NRS 616C.453 directed the Division of Industrial Relations, Workers' Compensation Section, to send an annual payment to injured employees who were permanently and totally disabled as of July 1st of a given payment disbursement year, and who did not qualify for the annual increase in PTD benefits pursuant to NRS 616C.473. These payments were required to be distributed by October 1st of each year. The 2019 Nevada Legislature repealed NRS 616C.453 (SB 377) effective July 1, 2019.
